Alex Kain works in daily life within the (inter)national philanthropic sector. She is a former board member (work and education) of Transgender Network Netherlands (TNN). Her hobbies are Art and Culture.

As such, Alex Kain is no stranger to the Amsterdam Museum. In the past, Alex has participated in the LGBTQI+ Perspective Tours and Sharing Stories - Queer History Talks. In 2019, she participated in the New Narratives Tours for the first time, at the time for the exhibition Fashion Statements.

Sierra Durgaram (she/they) is the owner of Bar Bario, designed as an all-inclusive, intimate living room. Being a young, queer businesswoman of color, in this tour, Sierra shared her story through reflections on objects from the exhibitions Panorama Amsterdam and Gay Games 1998.

On Sunday, July 30th, Sierra Durgaram (she/they) gave an intersectional Queer Gaze at the Amsterdam Museum. In her tour Sierra reflects on her historical predecessor Bet van Beeren and talk about creating safer spaces and the needs of Queer, BPOC people.

Rick Busscher (they/them) is a producer in the cultural sector, committed to human rights worldwide through art and culture. Hen is involved with QUEER NETWORK AMSTERDAM, Art.1 Foundation and the What You See Festival, among others. Hen questions the binary normative of our society.

On March 26, Rick Busscher gave a Queer Gaze tour at the Amsterdam Museum. Using various artworks and objects, they took you through Amsterdam's LGBTQ+ history and reflected with you on the Amsterdam Museum's collection and presentation.
