Tammie Schoots is a writer and freelance journalist. She writes and speaks widely about her personal experiences as a transgender woman to reflect on the emancipation and inclusion of transgender people. In addition to her journalistic work, she has published articles with Trouw and Linda Meiden, among others, and is an often-requested guest on various radio programmes.

Aaïcha Bergamin (1932-2014) was a Dutch transgender pioneer. She is still sometimes written off as an ‘eccentric madam’ - less known is the legal battle she fought to be who she was.
