As part of the exhibition Women of Amsterdam - an ode, young makers from Amsterdam are exploring different perspectives on gender, identity, and feminism. Their work will be periodically shown as pop-up exhibitions under the title Girls On Top on Studio Panorama. In doing this, we provide a platform for the voices of a new generation.
Visitors can participate in performances, workshops, discussions, and film screenings. These gatherings offer space to think about current gender issues. Every month we invite a new young maker to present their art.

Queer Gaze Tour met Kim Tawjoeram (in Dutch)
Zondag 23 februari van 11.30 tot 12.30 uur
Met de Queer Gaze Tours vragen we gastrondleiders van buiten het museum om te reflecteren op de tentoonstellingen in het Amsterdam Museum vanuit een Queer perspectief. Welke verhalen over de stad ontbreken nog? En welke verdienen meer aandacht? Ontdek de tentoonstelling Vrouwen van Amsterdam - een ode vanuit een Queer perspectief door de ogen van gastrondleider Kim Tawjoeram. Kim Tawjoeram is actief als cultureel programmeur, coach en docent. Ze heeft gewerkt voor instellingen zoals IQMF Festival, 4 en 5 mei Amsterdam, Amsterdam Roots Festival en Amsterdam Dance Event. Haar werk richt zich op het vertellen van andere verhalen, culturele bewustwording en het verbinden van mensen.
De tour is gratis bij te wonen op vertoon van een geldig museumticket. De voertaal is Nederlands.
International Women's Day

On March 8, International Women's Day, we welcome you to the Amsterdam Museum for a special public program with a theatrical touch! With various theatrical and performance elements, we will connect our project Women of Amsterdam - an ode to this important date, celebrating the power of women while also bringing attention to gender equality and women's rights worldwide.
During this afternoon, participate in various workshops and tours or be inspired by the theatrical performances. Please note, most activities will be in Dutch, but of course you are still welcome to join.

Welke vrouw noemde zichzelf een ‘levend kunstwerk’? Wie was 200 jaar geleden de rijkste vrouw van Amsterdam? En waarom zijn zo veel verhalen over vrouwen nooit verteld? In de tentoonstelling Vrouwen van Amsterdam - een ode ontdekken kinderen (8+) spannende verhalen van bijzondere Amsterdamse vrouwen!
Kinderen leren van alles over wat vrouwen voor de stad hebben betekend. En ze worden uitgedaagd om na te denken over wat zij zelf aan de stad kunnen bijdragen.
De kinderaudiotour is gratis te verkrijgen bij een bezoek aan de tentoonstelling. Onder de 18 jaar gratis entree!
