    1. Submit your ode using the form on our website.

    2. If you send a photo, video or audio recording, make sure it is of good quality.

    3. To upload a video, help us by posting it on YouTube or Vimeo first. Please note: if you post something on YouTube or Vimeo, you agree to the terms and conditions set by these websites. Please read these terms carefully first so you know what you are agreeing to.

    4. We reserve the right to contextualise, edit or otherwise adapt submitted contributions (in consultation, of course).

    5. If the woman you address your ode to and know personally is still alive, always ask permission (if she is a public figure, see point 8). Also, if you use images of these women, always ask permission as mentioned under point 7 before uploading your contribution here.

    6. Your submission will be kept in the Amsterdam Museum's collection and may, for example, be used for a physical exhibition in the future.

    7. You grant the Amsterdam Museum permission to use (parts of) your submitted contribution (to make it public and to reproduce it):
      a. on the digital platform Women of Amsterdam - an ode;
      b. on the website page about the project Women of Amsterdam: an ode;
      c. on the general website of the Amsterdam Museum;
      d. to be included in the (digital) collection of the Amsterdam Museum and to be used for future digital and physical exhibitions within the framework of Women of Amsterdam: an ode.
      e. to use and make available in presentations and press materials to promote the aforementioned components (the platform and the aforementioned websites, digital and physical exhibitions, as part of the collections etc.);
      f. to publish on the Amsterdam Museum's public Facebook, Instagram, TiktTok and X account and on YouTube. Your contribution is visible to everyone and can be shared by the users of these social media.

    8. Be careful with what you submit as a contribution. Make sure that your contribution does not violate any (copyrights, trademarks, privacy, etc.) rights of others and that it meets all conditions. For example, if you use photos, videos or texts made by others, you need them to use these in your contribution and to give us permission for the use mentioned under point 7. The same applies if these photos or videos contain works of art, for example, to which others hold copyrights. Your contribution may also not contain images, videos or data of other persons that could violate the portrait rights or privacy of these persons without their explicit consent. In the case of minors, permission is required from the parents/legal representative(s).

    9. Insulting and offensive contributions will not be posted. In many cases, Amsterdam Museum does not own the copyrights (or other intellectual property rights) to the material published online. Usually, this material is provided by third parties. These third parties have assured Amsterdam Museum that the rights holders have granted permission for the material to be used on the website (under the relevant conditions and licence/code). However, Amsterdam Museum cannot guarantee that this is always the case. If you believe that a publication on the website violates your rights, you can report this via info.ode@amsterdammuseum.nl. If you come across otherwise unauthorised information, such as content that violates privacy, our general terms and conditions, standards of decency or good taste, or in general public order and/or any legal regulation, please report this to Amsterdam Museum via info.ode@amsterdammuseum.nl. We therefore ask you not to create an account, submit a contribution and/or otherwise provide such data to us (e.g. by e-mail) until you have obtained permission to do so.

    11. Before submitting a contribution, we ask you to agree to these terms and conditions. This is a condition for participation.
